Most herbs can be grown in amongst your other garden plants. The difference is that they can be used to enhance your cooking, provide aroma in potpourri, deter pests and still give you flowers.
Be warned though! Not all herbs will stay in one place in your garden. They often self-sow and can turn up in unexpected places. Parsley will happily grown out of cracks in paths and nasturtiums will pop up in another flower bed. Be also aware that some herbs we use in our cooking grow to VERY larger trees and shrubs.
