This teams event
will be run as bouts to 45 with teams of three and the occasional 4.
The teams will be composed more or less on rankings but Bridget will
rearrange them at her discretion.
This competition is mainly aimed at those secondary school and above,
but if any of the coaches have a older primary school pupil, who has
done an electric tournament before and who the coach feels is up to
the competition, thats cool with Bridget.
She is also planning to have a trepee on the same day, but doesn't have
times and stuff worked out yet. We will let you know when that gets sorted out.
Pretty much usual stuff applies, everyone must have access to a spare
foil and bodywire, plastrons are compulsory, and if you are not
wearing breeches your trousers have got to come all the way down to
your shoes.
We will let you know more details closer to the date.
Well the new year has come, and with the beginning of term comes the AGM. Everyone is welcome to come along and as there is not much on the agenda, fencing is likely to follow. Details are as follows:
DATE: Wednesday 16th Feb
TIME: 8:00 pm
LOCATION: VUW Rec Centre -Dance Room
AGENDA: This Years Tournaments; The New Timetable; Election Of New Officers For The Club; Uni Games; Fees.
As yet, there is no proposal made for the relocation of
NIFE,
therefore no vote was held at the FenCen meeting on monday.
Please feel free to vote on the previous post if you have not already done so, as it will be officially voted on at a later date (TBA).
I will post the proposal when i recieve a copy.
FenCen is holding a meeting this Monday (the 23rd) and among the many things to be discussed on the agenda is the proposal to move the North Island Champs (NIFE) to Taupo next year. They would like all the clubs to vote on it, so we need your opinions on this now to better represent the club on Monday night. Unfortunately a proposal has not yet been circulated from FenCen yet, but as soon as I get a copy of it, I will update the website so you are better informed.
Please vote here to indicate your preference for, or against moving NIFE to Taupo next year:
We will collate your votes, and whichever option has more support for it, will be voted for by the club representitive (usually Bridget) on Monday.
