A Severe Thunderstorm Advice was issued at 10:00am for the Riverland, Murraylands, Upper and Lower South East of S.A as what looked like a thunder squall-line started forming in the east of the state. Radar showed yellow and pinks in a line from Riverland down to Naracoorte so I thought I could get something in a few hours. The squall line continued to intensify through the Mallee heading South eastwards. Conditions at Coleraine were getting very windy and looking black to the west.
Winds were 44km/hr Northerly gusting to 65km/h. Padthaway in SA south east recorded 91km/hr gust with the storm. The squall didn't hit too hard at Coleraine but we did have a few storms pass through here with large wind gusts. A few nice Cgs to cure the SDS. Wasn't overly photogenic again but got a couple of good shots with the digi.
