Summary -  Review  -  Miscellaneous Thoughts

In continuation of last season's finale, the season premiere of The Practice finds Lindsay behind bars and Eugene making an impassioned plea for her appeal. Meanwhile, Jimmy is approached by a woman who claims to have kidnapped her "daughter" sixteen years ago. The woman asks Jimmy to get word to the girl's birth mother that the girl is ok after all these years, but not to reveal her identity as the kidnapper. And Jaime Stringer, fresh out of law school, meets some resistance in her effort to join the firm as a new associate.

Rebecca argues Lindsay's appeal in front of the Supreme Judicial Court, where the stakes could not be higher. Meanwhile Jimmy, with newcomer Jamie as back-up, defends Bernice White who stands accused of kidnapping; even though his actions led to her arrest — and she has confessed — Jimmy knows who the real kidnapper is
