Story Outline:
A young Amish boy visiting the city remarkably becomes the only witness to a murder.  An experienced, tough,  yet honest policeman John Book (Harrison Ford) is assigned to the case and is sent to an Amish community in the country to protect him until the trial.

The policeman becomes attracted to the boy's mother (Kelly McGillis) who already has another suitor Daniel Hochleitner, played by Alexander Godunov.  Viggo plays the part of the suitor's brother.  Viggo impressed the director Peter Weir who extended his initial walk-on role, to Viggo being in nearly every scene by his brother's side.
