If you thought the disaster genre had passed by 1995, think again! Daylight is the film that will stop you driving through tunnels. This disaster is caused when criminals escaping from the police run into a truck causing a fiery explosion big enough to close off the tunnel between Manhattan and New Jersey. Kit Latura [Sly Stallone] makes it his mission to enter,
against authority's wishes, to free the people trapped inside before,
either the air runs out, the river runs in or the tunnel collapses.The
film had great effects and loads of tension and suspense, but I thought
the soppy human emotions element was drawn out way too long and my
patience way got too thin. My interest was held by Viggo, who's part
had great potential .. it's a shame he didn't end up the hero!
