Carlito's Way is based on a small text 'Carlito's Way & After Hours' which has improved in the screenplay but has incredibly mixed reviews from Cult Film to serious miss status. The story follows an ex-con Carlito Brigante [Al Pacino] who tries to change his ways after a prison term but is inevitably sucked back into the connections of his past. He runs a night-club trying to earn enough money to get away from it all but all goes astray once he refreshes his affair with an old girlfriends and becomes re-entangles with old associates.
