February Animals

Finally we've had decent rainfalls so the ponds and water tanks are full agian. Most of the plants in the gardens survived the drought and a couple of wild storms and some big bug attacks. The nights are full of the sounds of frogs calling and I've discovered two different types of small frogs in my gardens. A wallaby has taken up residence in the paddocks and birds are aplenty. The chickens in the M-PAH are a mutant-looking lot - very indiscriminate breeding between normal chooks and bantam crosses! Shelley had her feet trimmed & squealed the whole time. The next day she'd lost her bleat altogether! Most of the potted plants in the house yard died due to drought so Shelley has been on lawn mowing duty in the house yard. One day she found her way into the house. I found her just inside the door looking at the fish. Kayla was watching her with great concern.
