The Storm
My God, You keep a constant care
Wherever I shall go.
That strength of hand-that guiding power
May I always know.
When waves shall rise
And winds shall blow,
Teach me to slumber
Sweet and low.
When the well is dry
And I fail the test,
Within Your shelter
Let me rest.
When dangers come
From every side,
Let love attend me
Deep and wide.
Higher than the highest crest,
Stronger than the storm,
I lay my head upon Your breast,
And fear no earthly harm.
I shall not heed the terrors
For thus is courage born;
But know at last the world may rest
And sleep amid the storm.
