My Joy

Take off my robe of sorrow ,Lord-

It is a happy day;

You have restored me to myself-

You are the only Way.

You have given me a greater joy,

A greater love and peace;

And all my troubles fade away-

My pains before You cease.

When you have found your Saviour,

You are so glad of heart,

You do not have the room for care,

Or give life s hurts a part.

Since You have come, the things I love

Can never be the same;

My beauty be Your Tenderness,

My honour be Your Name!

I thank You Lord, with all my heart,

For You have made me whole;

I bless You with this humble art

For the joy that fills my soul.
