BIG DAY - GOOLWA BEACH
After so many trips to Goolwa ending up with light wind and walking on the beach, trying to stay upwind working against the swell wash we actually got one. In all fiarness to Goolwa normally we go down there on the marginal days with in hope that it will get some wind, anyhow it came in about 20 - 25 knots.
As would happen we set up the larger kites, Andy's Rhino 16 and the Demo Naish 12 from Onboard and just as I was launching Andy we thought hang on the wind has come in, Andy did a couple of over powered runs and huge airs on the 16 and I go to pumping up the Boxer 9, I put his kite down and he grabbed the Torch.
I got some great photos of the Torch in action again and Andy found it smooth and comfortable in the strong winds allowing for massive air time.
It got that windy that I ended up on my little Airush pilot so I could ride the waves in comfort, but Andy was still crusing on the Torch 12.
Great session, we couldn't find Pete only to see his GK up the beach further.
The only thing with Goolwa is that sand, which is through everything!
Daz!
