What a great day that was with plenty of friendly crew (Kite and Windsurf) waiting for wind which did finally arrive at about 4.00 pm which is normal for the Boggy!KITES TESTEDPete tested the 14m Airush Halo Bow Kite and I tested the 10m version. These kites were simply awsome, the wind was only 14 - 15 knots but I was lit on the 10m constant power and total depower available by just letting out the bar. Pete raved about the 14 all the way home, I tested it but for me did not offer benefit above the 10 as I am a light weight and was cruizing on the 10, The 14 felt slower to turn after using the 10 as expected for a larger kite, still very nice to fly steady and easy to fly, I really didnt have much time on it however and with both kites I would have liked to set them up for my preferences which would have made them even better, these kites seem to be steady and not too whippy, the 10 was very steady and forgiving but had enough whip for smaller kite action, I was lit anyway on the 10 and the 14 gave me more up wind but it wasnt really necessary for power. Some of the other guys used it with a larger board in about 12 knots. It shows that the bow kites are producing more power with less wind! The 10 was very good for jumping and had good lift. I tested the Airush switch, I think it was a 140, good light - medium wind steady board with good pop, this board lets you hold the rail until you are really ready to jump, in the air it did not feel big at all, chop was easy to ride through, and Pete and I both tested the Naish Sol 130cm board, this board was silk, extremely comfortable and good up wind ability but feels like a smaller board! Foot pads were sensationally comfortable.Everyone had fun, there were kites and sails a plenty, I thought I was at MauiGood day thanks ONBOARD and AIRUSH, I didnt even have to get the tangles out of my lines when I put the Halo down (Oops)Check out the photos go to the home page Home
