Its the Snapper Board Riders event of events, much anticipated every opportunity possible, we try to run it every weekend!
Warm up session at Port Willie for Andy, Kyle, DG and Daz, few nice photos before the Web Master hits the surf. Halo, Raven, Rhino air time!!!
It was top end 25 - 27 knots North and gusty, big air, big waves.
Then the doctor arrived, the flying Doc, and Sonic the Hedgehog for a down winder to Snapper where the water had started to come over it. John and Ron got there just in time for the down winder, I decided to drive and set up again at snapper.
Gustie, Teza, Syksie and the Pocket Rocket hit the beach and it was a team for a wave competition. This time the wind was at least 27 - 28 knts and that meant, Airush Pilot 6! oh yeah!
Out the north point down to Port Willie cliffs were some of the best overhead waves for some pretty nice toe side toe ins, big air, big winds, big green head bands, windsurfing chicks, and plenty of flat 'sexilly textured water' if that's a direct quote?? however it is not a real word.
My new sunnies worked a treat, finally some strap sunnies that don't fog. Or some fog that doesn't strap sunnies, something like that.
The Doc was airborne, the flying Doc travelled 20 nautical miles, good work! The down winder was a classic. Kylo was late for his party, the one we didn't get invited to, and where's my rashie?
