| Well the wind was predicted to come in as 20 knots plus and there was good SE winds running. We thought Kent would do it but when we got there it was 8 knots! Middleton? 8 knots, Goolwa beach 8 - 10 knots, River Mouth 12-15 knots but not a kitable bit of water with boats and barges and who know what else! Goolwa beach, perhaps the sea breeze had kicked in? 10 knots and 20,000 people, no good for kiting. Check the Boggy Lake wind report "15 - 18 knots boys where are you?" We're there. Got to Boggy the long way but it was 15 - 20 knots, then it eased a little but still enough. I took out the Demo Naish Torch and the Slingshot Misfit 134 board, after Kyle had a quick squirt on the board too. Kyle headed off across the bay the Turbo Diesel 12m and was ripping upwind when a bit of rope holding the pully snapped and he was in the Bog! The Torch was a sensational kite, and the Misfit slinshot board also very nice! We all tried it and all reports were good! I'll do a report later after I have used them again and had some time back from my trip down the South East! Andy as always got the big jumps and Kyle took some good shots. |
