Saturday 8th March
Dani Graczyk, Desert Moon Dancers
Goddess Belly dance Workshop

"Enter the temple of the Goddess ~ where your body is the temple and dance is the prayer.
Connect to the Divine essence and celebrate this dance of life, the dance of the feminine spirit.
From its roots as a ritual of fertility, love, magic and worship of the divine feminine creator to
continual self expression and evolution.

In this workshop you will dance the elements of Fire, Earth, Air, Water and Spirit,
connect and dance within the sacred geometry that holds the secrets of the the Universal dance.
Come beneath the veil and enter the realm of the divine self ~ the source of all wisdom."

Most defiantly one to experience, personally, I recommend this workshop to anyone who is after a connection with their dance,
that is looking for something more than just dance moves. We explored 7 different ways of channelling the goddess through moves,
as well as elemental dance combos. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed every part of this workshop! A very loving and sharing environment!

Crystal Magick's Goddess Weekends

Twice a year, Sue Cooper of Crystal Magick, puts together a fabulous, and eventful, 2 day weekend away for women to worship their inner goddess. There is usually a theme for the weekends which adds to the excitement- wear clothes to suit and enjoy eating foods the girls whip up in the kitchen. Each weekend starts off with an invoking the goddess ritual, with information about some of the goddess of the weekend. There is the opportunity to just relax, play drums with others, which is always a great way to build up energy or the day, dance the night away or share some of your own work, such as poems or music, and enjoy both new and old company. Sunday is welcomed with a morning 'welcome the day' ritual, and is filled with food, fun and relaxing. Dani puts together a belly dancing workshop, working with the theme of the weekend, lots more laughs and fun to be had!

So far Sue has held -

bullet Worship your inner Egyptian Goddess.
The weekend started with information about the Egyptian goddess's along with some singing/chanting to fully feel relax and in our own Egyptian mood. Throughout the day we had to create a sistrum, Egyptian rattle like instruments that Hathor is often seen with. This was a challenge for some but with lots of laughs we eventually had a group with wonderful and colourful sistrums. To pay off for all the hard work, the kitchen witch, Kay, had made up some fabulous foods, what a great way to finish the day off.
