Scarce Tunes - CD Grading

We grade the condition of a CD by examining the playing area of the CD surface. All CD's are listened to before they are added to the catalogue.

CD's are graded as follows:

  • New - Unplayed. Not sealed though.
  • Mint - In perfect condition
  • Mint(-) - Has one or two scratches/marks, plays perfectly
  • Excellent - Has marks but doesn't have scratches, plays perfectly
  • Good - Has scratches, plays perfectly
  • Average - Has scratches and marks, plays perfectly
  • Poor - Has scratches and marks, skips in playing

All inserts are in mint or excellent condition unless stated differently in the comments section of the detailed album listing.

We don't grade jewel cases. All jewel cases are intact at the time of mailing but we take no responsibility for their condition on arrival because they break easily in transit (even in disk mailers or padded bags) and they are easily replaced.

CD Categories

  • Rare - Deleted or not readily available
  • Import - Not made in Australia
  • Collectable - Not of standard format/limited edition
