Tommy Smith who trained four of the previous five winners of the Golden Slipper claimed that Toy Show was one of the greatest fillies he had trained, yet she ran only one second faster than the previous year's winner.  However, following the Slipper she won the AJC Sires Produce Stakes and as a three year old the VRC Ascot Vale Stakes, VATC Thousand Guineas and VRC Newmarket Handicap.  As a four year old she won only one race the William Reid Stakes at Moonee Valley in record time.  She raced 33 times for 8 wins, 5 seconds and 5 thirds.
