Clarry Conners won his third Golden Slipper when Prowl (once again carrying the colours of the Newhaven Park Stud) who drew barrier 1 had a perfect run through the field to win by 1 1/4 lengths.  The unlucky  Shovhog had to contend with barrier 18 but with a great ride by Mick Dittman (who earnt a fine for his effort) just failed to run down Prowl.  As a three year old Prowl failed to live up to his early promise and broke down.
