The Queanbeyan Leagues Club sponsored Whites have no less than 5 players selected in the ACT Representative team to take on NSW Country and Victoria in late April. The squad of 22 was announced earlier this week after training sessions and the opening rounds of the preseason competition, the Vodafone Shield. The Whites players selected are hookers Daniel Penca and Anthony Hegarty , fly-half John Kevin, inside centre Sam Windsor whilst Henry Seavula has been given the full back jersey. Veteran lock and hard man Matt Hirst has been included on the bench and his approach to the game will be a telling factor in the 2 matches later stages. Hegarty has been involved in the Brumby Runners program whilst Penca has been simply outstanding in the pre-season carry on his efforts of last season and both have the ability to cover back row positions at a pinch. The combination of the 3 Whites back will be crucial to the ACT's cohesiveness against what is sure to be highly competitive opposition. Last years successful Whites Colts Coach, Adam Fahey is the teams Assistant Coach, working alongside Tuggeranong's Brendan Allardyce. The team takes on NSW Country on Saturday 19th followed by Victoria on Friday 25th April with both games as curtain-raisers to the Brumbies final 2 home games in this seasons Super 14 at Canberra Stadium and both games will kick-off at 5.00pm 1
