PerMutations is an imaginative exploration of the past, future, and alternate realities that can be read into the Western Australian landscape.
The Editors of PerMutations are seeking speculative stories, of all kinds, that foreground the geography, history or culture of Western Australia. View the Submission Guidelines.
All the speculative genres are welcome, including science fiction, fantasy, horror, and associated slipstream fiction. However, it is not enough for stories to be set in W.A.—the location must be vital! We want stories that make us see W.A. in a new light.
Stories could, for example, explore:
The future of W.A.Authors are encouraged to send maps, photographs or other artistic materials pertinent to their story, if they hold copyright in the materials. Copies of such works should be submitted, with originals available if required by the Editors.
