About Me

I was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and I have been living in Australia for 20 years.

When I arrived here in Australia at the age of 10, soccer was not very popular as in

South America or Europe, soccer had no comparison with other popular sports such as

 aussie rules, cricket or rugby. At the time the only soccer broadcast on television was the

then English first division and the 1982 world cup. With the arrival of SBS television

in the 80's, soccer broadcasts began to grow as well as the popularity of the game. I was 

always in search of news and results of Vasco's games, and with SBS I was able to receive 

news and results from Brazil as well as from around the world. Now with the arrival of the

Internet and TV Globo International, I am able to watch and hear live games from Brazil.

Even though I've been living here in Australia for 20 years, I never lost my passion and

devotion to my club.

Vasco da Gama is a football club that I have been supporting since I was born, 

but I also love the game of football. When Vasco is not playing, I have admiration
