To offer friendship, understanding and mutual support when a
baby loses their multiple birth sibling/s during the pregnancy, at birth or in infancy, and is raised as a "singleton".
About OzMOST…
Founded in October 2001 by Julie Bryant of the Illawarra Region NSW, OzMOST is an internet-based support group for families in Australia and New Zealand who share the common bond of having experienced the death of a baby in a multiple pregnancy (OzMOST being the acronym for 'Aussie Mums Of Surviving Twins'). All of our membership have experienced the death of one of their babies during the pregnancy, at birth or in their infancy. For some the loss is recent, for others it is several years ago. Some members were able to see and hold their babies and say goodbye, others weren't. We would like other parents who experience bereavement in a multiple pregnancy to know that they are not alone in their experience, offering hope as they grieve for their twin that has died whilst celebrating their surviving twin.
