My Profile
I am a Psychic Medium and spiritual adviser who has been working on a professional scale for about three years. I strictly work with a set of 'code of ethics' related to this field and supply my clients with confidential readings.

These readings all vary from client to client in nature.  For example there can be general/standard readings to very complex, all that are different in their duration of time and also frequency.  I speak of my field, that many others too - are included in; in that I separate my-self from its unlimited glorious 'workings' whilst trying to convey its wonderful and dynamic structure using 'human terminology' and language. It can be very difficult and even misleading to the reader in trying to explain this type of work myself and many others do. As this profession is broad and limitless in its valuable contributions for all life as many of 'us' 'instruments' working on this 'physical plane' know of its trials and errors, pros and cons, levels of abilities that one posesses vary from soul to soul. Which really, to try and use language tends to put limits on this profession and discipline. Leading directly to 'MAYA' (illusion).

There have also been many individuals that have used these professional titles and this field for self gain and given the field a bad name. I am not here to judge. Also I am not going to go into detail about all the various qualities of Psychic Mediumship I currently possess.  I will only say that I have had a life of 'fortune and misfortune' in many forms including its spiritual components.  In the recent past (three or so years) I have been priviledged to give readings to many people that I have come across without advertisement or pre-eranged bookings (although spirit obviously have made there bookings behind my back, lol!)  I feel now the time is right for my-self to join the team of 'instruments' on the 'World Wide Web', and continue to help all souls (on both sides) to the best of my ability and guidance from spirit.

As I have always worked, I will continue to provide my 'instrumentation' for no money or anything else!  But oneday I shall be charging a fee for these services. This will occur when it occurs.   And would like to add here, for those that do charge. In my opinion, have every right in doing so.  It does take alot of ones time and energy. As I have already said, I too will charge oneday.  At this stage in my life, it is not neccessary.  I do request that if you can make a donation to a worthy cause or charity. Or, it does not have to come in the form of cash money. It can, carry some type of service to another life form out there needing some type of positive assistance in what ever way you would obviously 'see fit'.  But just because I request this please do not let it 'hang over your head' so to speak, if you dont do it.  Or if you havent done it with in one year for example.  I have learnt that the Universe or what ever you wish to term it, has a way of catching up with us in its own time. Well, I hope I have 'broken the ice' satisfactorily.  Remembering the concept of 'human language'. I may think that I have explained myself adequately, but in actual fact I may have caused confusion or something else! Sociology is a good discipline to use to give many good analogies for my worries portrayed in using language. This is one of the reasons I dont wish to 'babble' on about 'theories and concepts' related to my profession.  All I want you to know is that I am here to give readings and 'sound spiritual advice' for you, without bias. Remembering one important rule: We are on a need to know basis, I havent got all the answers, what spirit want to say will be said. Spirit have their own laws about this. I bring forward that which is meant to be heard! So do please feel free to email me. Feel free to add or ask any  questions, remembering that they necessarily may not be answered or answered the way you want!  Only give me your first name and how you wish for me to reply to you.  If you would like you can also ask for a numerology/Astrological or Tarot reading. I generally just use my own spirit as a tool for the information that comes through me, but I understand that some prefer that specific tools are used and I am happy to oblidge.  I look forward to hearing from you and hopefully assisting your life in some  positive way! From Your  'instrument' Peter!
A bit more about me! I enjoy reading and discussing Sociology, Psychology, Phylosophy of life in general, and interacting with all life forms.

During my life I have grown to appreciate many things.  I have learnt that there are 'no accidents' or such things as coincidences and have been able to take a closer look, or notice the very subtle signs that are delivered our way all the time from spirit. Ever since I was about twelve I have been intrigued, always looking for answers, researching life in all soughts of ways.  I was also a very selfish person at times in my life.  I have learnt not to hold blame, guilt etc, [forgiveness is important] and to become the master of my own emotions. Although easier said than done sometimes! I grew up hard, poor, through alot of loss and grief. I still am poor, but I am rich in many other ways not defined by money!  Since a child I have had many (what you may call) 'spiritual experiences' and gone through some very trying aspects of growing into the 'instrument' I am at present. For example, the emotion of 'FEAR' was one to 'beat' in my growth.  Some experiences I could say, if I wasn't prepared by spirit properly, I would definately be in a assylum of some sought.  But here I am and I am interested most in giving what I can to you (people).  That is my journey in this life and what I have learnt as an individual similar yet different to others [a Sociological term].

Following Are articles I have collected from various sources on the internet. I hope I have given them credit appropriately.  If I havent, please feel free to email me and I shall correct the matter.  Thankyou to those sharing their knowledge with us.

So, if we are the creators of our own reality and choose basically the outcome, then, I choose to create, revolve, live my reality in this realm, to be what human language term 'psychic medium healer, to benefit all souls including my own.  Now, what is the outcome of this? (Me, Peter).

Note: Section taken from article from the 'transpersonal realms'! (website - Skyhero)

Our physical reality is surrounded by layers of energy. These layers of energy are in harmony -- in Balance. Although all is One and energy cannot be divided, we will divide these layers for the purpose of discussion only. There are seven layers of energy to discuss. I have chosen to use the term "layers" because, again, the concept of levels causes us to think of some as higher or lower than others.
Think of the energy layers around you as an extension of a concentric spider web with seven rings. Place yourself in the middle of your web and focus your attention on the very center. As you do so, you are unaware of the seven rings of your web. But as your awareness expands, it moves outward to include those rings.
Now, leave the center of your web and move to the first ring but, as you move, allow the center of the web to move with you. When you arrive at the first ring, what was your center now becomes another ring, and the ring you are now on becomes your center. You are, therefore, always in the center. In this way, all the layers of your web are always available to you. You are not really moving on the web. You are simply changing the focus of your attention.
This example is much like awareness in the layers of the transpersonal realm. When your attention is focused in the physical aspect of your reality, your awareness is limited to it. You are focused on the center of your web. As your attention expands beyond the confines of your physical world, so does your awareness, but you remain in the center. It is a simple matter of a change in the focus of attention that gives the appearance of movement. But wherever your attention is, you remain in the center.

The layers of energy that we call the transpersonal realm appear in religious tradition through out the world. They are reported as spontaneous occurrences by those who experience NDE’s, traumatic or life threatening situations, severe illnesses, and as a result of starvation and vitamin depletion, to name a few. And they have been actively sought in all cultures throughout history through the use of drugs, fasting, prayer, ritual, sensory deprivation, sensory overload, self-mutilation, and a vast number of other methods. All these layers are accessible through the focus of attention, just as are the rings of your web.
Those who have traveled these layers and returned, describe them through their own paradigm. This is why we find reports of a different number of layers as well as different descriptions of them. We will consider seven because it is the number most often reported, and because a reflection of the seven transpersonal layers is mirrored in the physical body.

We understand that all is energy, and that energy is holographic. It is not surprising, then, to find seven centers of energy located in and around the human body. These energy centers are called "chakras," and are found in a line upward from the base of the human spine to just above the head. As we discuss the transpersonal realm, we will compare its seven layers to the seven chakras, or energy centers, found in the human body.

Here is an iteresting topic of human behaviour from Alex Patersons web site titled 'the three stages of truth'!

THE THREE STAGES OF TRUTH

It would appear to be an indelible human trait that the 'truth' about most issues usually goes through three distinct phases known colloquially as "the three stages of truth". During the first stage, the issue goes unnoticed and is ignored. The second stage is characterised by a period of vehement denial. The third stage witnesses the the truth about the issue being recognised as self evident.
Examples of this sort of thing a legion. Thus for example, five hundred years ago contemporary Western (meaning European) society believed that the Earth was flat and at the centre of the Universe and anyone who had the temerity to suggest otherwise was invariably burnt at the stake. It wasn't until the Magellan expedition's circumnavigation of the globe in 1522 that the reality of a round Earth was finally acknowledged as being "self evident".
The reason why 'truth' goes through these three stages is that humans in general are very reluctant to give up their beliefs as to the nature of reality because they have invested a lifetime of expense and effort in arriving at those beliefs. Acknowledging that their perception of reality may no longer be applicable in the light of new evidence usually presents humans with the uncomfortable choice of dispensing with a paradigm that they are used to - and which has probably worked quite satisfactorily to date - in favour of a something new and yet to be properly defined. Few humans have the courage or strength of character to pursue such a course of action, as it usually results in considerable personal discomfit associated with a lack of supporting structures around new ideas and a fear of the unknown, not to mention the vociferous ridicule by their contemporaries towards anything new. This situation is exacerbated by the fact that those who question society's prevailing orthodoxy are by definition dissenters who, by "rocking the boat", tend to threaten the very lifestyle and comfort of all around them who hold to the prevailing orthodox position. It is for this reason why dissenters have been relentlessly pursued and persecuted throughout history by their contemporaries.

The three stages of truth applies to the day to day personal life situations of humans as well as the wider questions pertaining to the nature of reality and who we are.

Philosophical Materialism
Contemporary Western society's understanding as to the nature of reality is a good example of the "three stages of truth". Western Science's understanding of reality is based on the concept that the Universe is solely a material dimension and that all phenomena in the Universe (i.e. reality) are strictly the result of the material interactions of the separate physical 'bits' comprising it - all operating in accordance with 'natural', immutable laws of the universe and not exhibiting, or being the subject of, 'consciousness'. However, this understanding of reality - known as Philosophical Materialism - is not supported by the scientific evidence at a 'quantum' (minute) scientific level. Despite the lack of scientific evidence in support of Philosophical Materialism, the theory is trenchantly defended by the Western Scientific community - not because the theory has been observed to work, or that there is some irrefutable scientific proof of the same - but rather because it is the underlying philosophy of that very science. As such, the careers of most Western Scientists are inextricably linked to that philosophy. In the eyes of most scientists, the notion that they abandon a paradigm of reality built up over a lifetime of study and effort in pursuit of something that has yet to be defined, is clearly unthinkable.

Another discussion from Alex Patersons' web site titled 'belief versus knowing'!

BELIEF versus KNOWING

Most people think that what they believe about the nature of reality and what they know about reality are one and the same thing, but this is incorrect. There is a fundamental difference between believing something and knowing something. Beliefs, such as religious theology or scientific theories, are invariably arrived at through a process of logical deduction and/or are taught to people by their peers, mentors, and society - whereas knowing something is always arrived at through personal experience. Thus for example, humans know that they are physically alive in this realm - not because they believe it based on some theory taught to them by their peers or because they have deduced it - but rather because they are personally experiencing it. The experience of living itself provides a person with the ultimate, albeit personal, 'proof' that they are physically alive in this realm and as such transcends the need for either belief or logic.
The same applies to spiritual experiences. Spiritual proof as to the nature of reality - in other words spiritual enlightenment - is always rooted in a personal spiritual experience that has nothing to do with deduction or spiritual theology taught to humans by their peers.

In my own case, my Near Death Experience (NDE) provided me with incontrovertible personal 'proof' that I am an individualised, but inseparable aspect of SOURCE and as such I came to know that I AM SOURCE - as is everything else in the Universe. This knowing is rooted in the experience itself, which I can unequivocally say was the most 'real' experience I have ever had in this life and as such transcends belief or so called logic. I don't even need to understand it - I just KNOW it.

Once a human experiences what I have experienced, they will know what I mean. It is my belief that all humans are destined to experience some form of spiritual truth in which they re-discover who they really are - namely that they are an individualised but inseparable aspect of SOURCE - if not in this life then certainly in another. 1

INTRODUCTION

There are really only two emotions in the Physical Universe - those being LOVE and FEAR. All other emotions are just variations on these two primary states of emotion. LOVE is the emotion associated with a 'knowing' that everything in the Universe is an expression of a singularity (i.e. God) and is therefore interconnected, whereas FEAR is the emotion underlying the perception (i.e. illusion) of being separate from God. The following article compares these two states of consciousness.

Further discussions linked to the above discussion by Alex Paterson!

LOVE VERSUS FEAR

LOVE is an expression of the Oneness that underlies all reality associated with a deep felt knowing that everything is an expression of Source and that nothing (no-thing) can exist outside Source. By contrast, FEAR is rooted in the illusory perception of separation that pervades the Physical Universe.

LOVE expresses itself as an urge towards unity, whereas FEAR is a result of the perception of dis-unity that is part and parcel to God's game of separation that defines the Physical Universe. (i.e. The 'them' versus 'me' syndrome associated with the isolation currently experienced by most humans)
LOVE is rooted in a state of 'knowing', whereas FEAR is based entirely upon 'beliefs', most of which are false.
LOVE knows the difference between 'knowing' and 'believing', whereas FEAR is unaware of the difference and believes they are one and the same. (see 'Belief versus Knowing' by Alex Paterson)

LOVE knows that existence is eternal and that 'time' is an illusion. FEAR believes 'time' is real and as such is only aware of the temporal nature of physical existence.
LOVE recognises the perfection underlying all processes in the Universe, whereas FEAR thinks the Universe is imperfect.
LOVE knows that the Universe is in a perfect state of balance and that all the circumstances a Being finds itself in have been created entirely by that Being for the purpose of experience. As such, LOVE knows that the Universe is perfectly safe, whereas FEAR perceives potential threats all around it and believes the Universe to be unsafe.
LOVE knows that physical death is simply a change of state, that consciousness is eternal and as such survives physical death. FEAR believes death is final and that consciousness ceases upon death. LOVE welcomes physical death as an old friend because it knows existence is the never-ending evolution of consciousness and that 'death' is a return to a more authentic state of consciousness. Fear is terrified of death and will do almost anything to avoid it, including the killing other Beings in order to perpetrate its perception of existence.
LOVE knows that everything in the Universe is an expression of Itself and that so called 'enemies' are just aspects of Itself mirroring facets of its psyche (i.e. Soul) that need to be addressed and healed through the process of unconditional love and acceptance. LOVE knows that at a higher level of existence all enemies are really just loving friends acting out a role in Love's play for the purpose of experience. By contrast, FEAR believes its enemies are truly separate Beings bent on harming it.
LOVE knows that 'true' love is unconditional, meaning it judges nothing (no-thing). LOVE knows that "conditional love" is by definition an oxymoron. FEAR expresses an emotion called "conditional love" believing it to be "love", but it is not.
LOVE is an expression of Truth whereas FEAR is the result of Illusion (i.e. Maya). FEAR could be correctly described as being "False Expectations Appearing Real".
At its essence, SOURCE is LOVE and as such love is the only 'real' (authentic) energy in the Universe. All else is just illusion (Maya) associated with the game of separation that defines the physical Universe.

ESOTERIC THEORY is an ancient and perennial alternative hypothesis as to the nature of reality to that held by most people in Western society. By definition, Esoteric means "intelligible to initiates only" and through the auspices of that process esoteric theory has survived largely intact throughout human history.
Esoteric theory postulates that the physical Universe as perceived by humans' five senses is but just a tiny aspect of a far more complex and vaster total 'reality'. The basic tenet of esoteric theory is that a 'Universal Consciousness' associated with a single infinite entity or 'Creative Principle' underlies all reality, of which the physical Universe is but just an aspect. Esoteric theory has a number of basic tenets which can be summarised as follows:
All reality (Universe), including the infinite un-manifested potential known as the VOID 1 , is simply an expression of the Creative Principle (or GOD for want of a better word). As such, the Universe is an undivided, infinite WHOLE. This concept implies an essential 'ONENESS' pervading all reality and an unbroken interconnectedness between all the so-called 'separate' parts thereof. 2

Implicit in the concept of an undivided WHOLENESS is the notion that the Universal Consciousness is totally conscious of itself, and all the so-called parts comprising it.

The Creative Principle (God) is infinite, meaning the Universe is infinitely multi-dimensional, has no beginning, no end and no limits and that 'time' as perceived in humans is just an illusion for the purpose of experience in this realm. This concept is simply beyond the perception or comprehension of most humans incarnating at this point in 'time'.

At its essence ALL reality is consciousness or mind. (the 'Mind of God' so to speak) Thus, although the physical Universe appears to be made up of 'solid' matter, in reality matter is nothing more than an expression of 'thought'. Quantum physics is knocking on the door of this startling concept associated with the 'Observer Effect' which states "there is no phenomenon until it is observed". 3

The consciousness underlying all reality implies that the Universe has purpose, even if that purpose is beyond the perception or understanding of human consciousness. 4

The Physical Universe is an expression of the Creative Principle (thought) in the form of a vast, interconnected energy field. Physical matter is just coalesced or slowed down energy in accordance with Einstein's famous formula:
E = mC2 where E = energy, m = mass, C = speed of light

Fundamental to the Physical Universe is EXPERIENCE from the perspective of a limited awareness as to the true identity of the points of consciousness (souls) comprising it, that being that they ARE God and as such are never really separate from their Source (God). In other words, the perception of individual consciousness (ego) and the attended perception of separateness associated with the Physical Universe is really just an illusion (maya) for the Creative Spirit to experience Separation and Companionship. Implicit in this notion is the birthright of all souls to return eventually to an un-manifested state of perfect BEING. This concept is simply beyond the perception or comprehension of most humans incarnating at this point in 'time'. 5

The Physical Universe is defined by limits based on duality. (e.g. hot versus cold, here versus there, up versus down etc.) and linear time (past - present - future etc.) These 'limits' are subject to 'rules' such as the laws of physics to define them. However, these 'rules' have no reality in themselves, they simply exist because all points of consciousness in this realm 'agree' to their existence for the purpose of experience, hence the ability of some humans to actually operate outside the 'rules' and perform so called miracles. (e.g. Jesus of Nazarus, Yuri Geller, Sai Baba and countless others etc)

At its essence, the only thing that is 'real' is the creative principle itself, which is beyond form, time or limits. In other words, GOD just IS. This has no context from the perspective of this realm and as such is trenchantly denied by most human egos, including mine. (Alex Paterson 2000 )

3. OBSERVER EFFECT. Fundamental to contemporary Quantum Theory is the notion that "there is no phenomenon UNTIL it is observed". This effect is known as the 'Observer Effect'.
The implications of the 'Observer Effect' are profound because, if true, it follows that observation is fundamental to the existence of reality. Presumably OBSERVATION cannot occur without the pre-existence of some sort of consciousness to do the observing and as such implies that the physical Universe is the direct result of 'CONSCIOUSNESS'. In other words, the Physical Universe is nothing more than a very sophisticated 'virtual reality' in the 'mind of God'.
Phenomena that supports this notion are Hypnotic Trance experiences, Out of Body experiences (OBE), Near Death Experiences (NDE), Mind over Matter experiences (e.g. Yuri Geller, Sai Baba) and a host of other paranormal phenomena experienced by countless humans.
NOTE: The concept of the Physical Universe being based on 'consciousness' is in direct contradiction of contemporary scientific theory which maintains that consciousness is solely the result of the workings of a physical brain.

4. PURPOSE. The whole concept of purpose presents an irreconcilable paradox which is beyond the resolution or understanding of the human mind. 'Purpose' implies a direction which, by definition, is a form of limitation if only because purpose and direction require the defining, and then ultimate negation, of all that is NOT part of the said purpose or direction. The physical universe displays order as evidenced by the laws of physics, which strongly suggests it is NOT purposeless. However, BEING infinite, the CREATIVE PRINCIPLE is beyond limitation. Purpose only has meaning in a paradigm defined by limits, such as the Physical Universe. From the perspective of the unmanifest infinite, purpose is meaningless.

Note:  Here is something to ponder over { we should never presume and never expect, because as sure as the sun rises each morning our expectations will almost certainly not be met when they are most 'wanted'. }

Another educator to consider and add to this journal is philosypher, mystic, and researcher Paul Brunton!
A Quote from Paul Brunton:

Geoff Hodson on Krishnamurti: "When he spoke to an audience,
there was a moment when you saw the expression on his face
change: at that moment I saw clairvoyantly a great being began to
overshadow him.  He become inspired."

---Paul Brunton, Vol 14,

Inspiration and the Overself
Paul Brunton (1898-1981) was a British philosopher, mystic, and traveler. He left a successful journalistic career to live among yogis, mystics, and holy men, and studied a wide variety of Eastern and Western esoteric teachings. With his entire life dedicated to an inward and spiritual quest, Brunton felt charged with the task of communicating his experiences to others and, as the first person to write accounts of what he learned in the East from a Western perspective, his works had a major influence on the spread of Eastern mysticism to the West. Taking pains to express his thoughts in layperson's terms, Brunton was able to present what he learned from the Orient and from ancient tradition as a living wisdom. Paul Brunton's writings sum up his view that meditation and the inward quest are not exclusively for monks and hermits, but will also support those living normal, active lives in the Western world.

Here is a semi short discussion on Philosopher Paul Brunton.

Paul Brunton
An appreciation by John Behague
There have been many who have influenced me in my lifelong search for the truth, but none more so than Paul Brunton. So many times his thoughts have echoed mine, so many times I have inwardly cried out "yes, yes!" when his words have struck home. I never met him, but felt close to him, having visited the same places, met the same kind of people he met, and experienced similar happenings, but his search was the more successful because he had the courage and determination to venture into the unknown, tear down curtains of superstition, topple idols and scatter sacred cows.
That may make him appear a giant among men. On the contrary, PB as he like to be called, was small and dapper, spoke softly and slowly, was gentle in this approach and lived quietly and abstemiously. Yet in his spiritual journeying this little man visited the far corners of the world, living with princes, mystics and holy men, staying in palaces and mud huts, and emerging something of a guru himself, with a message of incredible importance and hope for those who cared to read it.
In this short appreciation I hope to summarize some of his findings and explain his philosophy. Strangely, he wasn't aware of having any mission in life other than the hope of making people aware of the value of their own souls. He had no desire to inflict his beliefs on others. He was no missionary, and didn't seek to convert or compel.
His main resolve was to be independent of allegiances and authorities, and to rely on his own observations and findings so that he could set down the simple truths of things which had become hidden or distorted over the years. Others would pick them up or discard them as they thought fit. All he hoped was that people would find within themselves what he had found.
He wrote several philosophical books, some of which have become best-sellers, but much of his writings, in the form of notebooks, remained unpublished until the creation of the Paul Brunton Philosophic Foundation in New York. He died in 1981 and a bright light went out, but his vital question: "What's the meaning of it all?" and his answers to it should provide spiritual food for many years to come.
Questions were his stock and trade, from his early years as a journalist in London,a nd like me, that little word "why?" was constantly on his lips. Why is it that we can conquer disease, design complicated computers, and send men into space when we can't even explain why we are here on earth?
As PB put it" We have gathered highly detailed information about almost everything under the sun. We know the work, qualities and properties of all the objects and phenomena of the earth. But we do not know ourselves. The very persons who have been studying all the sciences have yet to study the science of self."
Throughout history the great seers and philosophers have struggled to find the key to our existence on earth. Like the old station master in the English comedy play "Ghost Train" the agonized question is "Where do ee cum from and where do ee go?" Are we mere lumps of matter destined to disintegrate into nothingness, or are we God-made creatures with everlasting souls?
Brunton called them great riddles of life which have puzzled the sages of many generations, and will puzzle many more. He saw man as a doubting and despairing figure stalking across the cold wastes of this world laughing cynically at the name of God. Within man there were dark radiant places where the soul could take wing. The angel and the beast were both inner tenants.
What are we to believe? Are the words of the ancient sages the babblings of irresponsible lunatics, or are they messages of tremendous importance to us all? Paul Brunton resolved to bring the record up to date by tracking down the seers of today-- swamis, gurus, holy men and yogis--to discover the truth for himself.
As I have found, truth is often hard to uncover. Sometimes a "holy man" worshipped by thousands turns out to be a complete fraud. Sometimes miracle men prove to be little more than conjurers. PB's investigations and travels lasted several years and in the end he came to the inescapable conclusion that Divinity is everywhere. God could be found and God was good. The catch, however, was that to find Him you first had to find yourself.
He also found that calamity has beset us. We may make wonderful machines, ships of vast size, and reach for the stars, but the tragedy is that we have forgotten who we are. We can trace out kin to the ape, with a wealth of detail and proof for this miserable pedigree, but we cannot remember our kindred to the angel." We forget our own spiritual nature.
He believed that at the back of our personal selves lies another self, described by an ancient seer as: "Unseen but seeing, unheard but hearing, unperceived but perceiving, unknown but knowing...This is thy Self, the ruler within, the immortal." We show the world a superficial mask. Our true self lives in the depths of our heart. I suspect that we house several selves, including the good, the bad and the ugly. One has only to consider how devoted German fathers with deep love of family, music and the arts, supported Hitler in his massacre of innocents. But even within the beast there lies hidden a spiritual being.
You may dismiss this as being farfetched or imaginative, but PB insisted that "wrapped in the folds of our nature hides a rare jewel, though we know it not. None has yet dared to set a price upon it, nor will any dare to do so, for its value is beyond all known worth."
So, where is the proof?
Brunton was at first positive you wouldn't find it in books. This, despite his literary outpourings. Truth is a state of being, not a set of words, he asserted, and begged people to start experimenting for themselves. The word God, he said, was meaningless unless you could contact Him within. The answers to all things lay within the limitless interior of your own being. You had to push to one side your doubts, inhibitions, prejudices and religious scruples and take the plunge.
Easier said than done in this day and age. Most of us are lost in a sea of confusion and contradiction, with powerful forces pulling us this way and that. There are the distractions of radio, television and instant news. It's fast food, fast action world with little time for purposeful thinking or spiritual experimentations.
Well, that's what many people might suppose. Brunton was made of much sterner and determined stuff. To him the question of where we come from and where we go to was more important than anything else on earth. He resolved to solve it, and as I've said, took many years in his investigations, some of which might appear to lesser mortals as wild goose chases.
As he finally found, it is the venture within that really matters, and the truth sometimes comes in unexpected places and blinding flashes.
It is making the search that sets things in motion. It triggers off an inner mechanism which eventually rings the bell. Gurus and spiritual leaders can provide directions and clues. The opening has to come from within.
You can be lucky, or favored, as I prefer to regard it. My first moments of knowing came high in the Himalayas during a wartime journey to Tibet, and were later confirmed much later in my life when I joined the spiritual brotherhood called Subud. I suspect that PB was also a member of Subud, but I have seen no confirmation of this. (ed.- Not to my knowledge)
At the start I said I thought Paul Brunton's search had been more successful than mine. We both made the same discoveries but he allowed his to change his life. I didn't and continued existence as a journalist, broadcaster and teacher. In a book written by his son --"Paul Brunton: A Personal View"--the author says this: "An aura of kindliness emanated from him. His scholarly learning was forged in the crucible of life. His spirituality shone forth like a beacon. But he discouraged attempts to form a cult around him. 'You must find your own PB within yourselves', he used to say."
There were those who claimed that after meeting him their lives were changed for ever. It was said that when he stepped into a room he filled it with serenity, providing living proof that enlightenment was a real thing. It is claimed that he was the first to bring yoga and meditation to the West- - well before the arrival of Transcendental Meditation and its emissaries - and that his modern age wisdom was a precious gift that mankind should not spurn lightly.
Of his eleven book, "The Secret Path" is probably the shortest and more widely read. In it he declared that to gain access to one's own soul is not such a rare feat as it may seem, and it all hinges on stilling the tumult of the mind and practicing mental quiet. This is achieved by daily meditation and occasional retreats. He was aware of the difficulties many might face when considering the demands of daily life. Switching off in the midst of tumult may seem an impossibility, but it can be dine. PB warned, however: "Thought control is hard to attain. Its difficulty will astonish you. The brain will rise in mutiny. Like the sea, the human mind is ceaselessly active. But it can be done. There is much guidance on this in his other publications.
He summed up the findings of his entire quest in eight words - Be still and know that I am God - but added it was important not to forget intellectual study and right action.
Everything depended on your personal approach. How strongly did you wish for enlightenment? PB is quoted as saying to his son: "Most quester feel that self-illumination is far off, a goal to be reached in some future life. But you can achieve it in the same lifetime IF you desire it strongly enough. After all, you ARE going to attain it someday, why not make up your mind it will be sooner rather than later. Go all out for it! And then even if you don't succeed in this life, the results of your hard work will show in the next life, so it will be worthwhile."
But there are still a lot of questions that remain unanswered.
If God is almighty why doesn't he intervene to end wars and suffering? Why does no hand stretch out from the Great Unknown to save us? PB said God, if he willed, could heal all the sorrows of this planet in an instant, but if man is to grow God- like he must do so of his own free will. Otherwise we'd all be little more than automatons.
That is an obvious stock answer and I am not altogether happy with it because I personally have proved divine intervention and guidance to be a fact.
What about death? That's a question few are prepared to discuss, and which ties religionists in knots. Don't be morbid, people say, yet it is an inevitable event affecting all of us. PB said death and change are the ultimate conditions of life in the material and mental worlds, but the reality which we can find within is time defying and eternal. Death to the man or woman who knows the truth means no more than a new birth. Reincarnation is the word for it.
"Everything we show forth returns to us, therefore we must be careful as to what we do to others, because the law of destiny is always at work, always sending back what we sent out, paying us in our own coin."
Everywhere in his books there are pithy and pungent statements:
"The material world is the great lethal chamber of the soul. Only spiritual heroes can arouse themselves sufficiently to escape from its stupefying effect upon consciousness."
How big a hero are you?
"It is the mind that can set man free again. This is not done by running away to monasteries or mountains and spending one's life there. It is done by USING THE MIND TO ENQUIRE INTO ITS OWN OPERATION." He should know, but you have to admit that the time he spent in monasteries and on mountains were not altogether a waste of time.
"When we understand that this whole world and not merely a part of it - the part which pleases us - is a divine manifestation, we understand that God must be in the gangster too. We must face facts bravely and realize that the divine will is ultimately behind the whole universe and consequently must even be behind the horror and agony and wickedness too."
We had to throw the plummet of the mind into the depths of self. The deeper it fell the richer would be the treasure. "Each man has a private door opening on to the eternal brightness. If he will not press and push it open, his darkness is self-doomed."
On completing the quest: "All language is hopelessly inadequate, shabbily poverty stricken, when confronted with this grand experience which one day awaits the whole human race and even now awaits every individual who truly and perserveringly seeks it."
What did it take? For proof of your divinity you had to take a little time out of each day to sit down in a quiet corner, shut out all distractions, enter into the seclusion and find the peace within. "We must dig with the drill of mind beneath the attraction of the physical world, and try to find the eternal reality which hides. Then the secret of life, which has baffled the brilliant intellects of illustrious men, will be discovered and become our joyful possession."
Books do provide some answers, and you have to read "The Secret Path" to find the key to that private and most important door, which once opened will change your life.

5. The VOID is at the other extreme of the spectrum to human experience in that it is total AWARENESS devoid of experience. The Void has no real context to normal human experience in this realm and cannot be understood until one experiences it.

NOTE: Even 'experiencing' the VOID is an oxymoron because the VOID is devoid of experience!

What happens when there is an accident?
Simply put, there are no accidents.
We exist in a world of holographic, interconnected energy in which the primary forces in creating our ongoing reality are our belief and expectations and the focus of our attention. No experience in this energy can occur without these forces coming into play. Transition from this experience to the next is an integral part of our ongoing reality.
Our concern about transition is a result of the fear of the unknown. This fear can be released when we understand the wonder and power of God’s Love. There are many belief systems here in our reality. Almost without exception, each system is convinced that it is has the ‘right’ answer. There are also many different actors in this movie of reality. We cannot participate in life without experiencing people and actions that are totally disgusting to us. What we must know is that this is a natural, emotional response to our physical reality and that it is not wrong for us to feel this way.
However we feel about these things, we must never sit in judgment. Feelings and judgment are two different things. Feelings are natural responses. Judgment is a conscious act. Judgment begins when we consider punishment or discipline for these actions ‘in the name of God,’ or when we decide that the individual must perform some outward act in order to make things right.
Here, we must understand and emulate the Love of God. We are free to discipline, and we can extract restitution. But we must understand that this is a social decision and has nothing at all to do with making things ‘right’ with God.
Without exception, God accepts each and every one of this just as we are. God has given us the gift of free will, and instructed us in the consequences of our choices. But God is standing with open arms and unconditional Love before every human being. God is ready to totally forgive us and fully accept us, to place us at the very center of Love, without reservation, without the necessity for us to make an act of restitution, the moment we turn and ask from the Heart.
When we learn to accept the Love of God in every individual, no matter how they play the part that they have chosen, there will be no self-judgment at transition and we will walk directly into the Light and Love of The One.
Walk in Peace.

I as we all have, have many spirit friends and guides and if it were not for them I would not be able to deliver my services to you, so I give them a big cuddle of thanks and my Mother Tammy, whom all is left within my biological family. I have only gotten to know you recently at my age 33.  And I am impressed.  Thanks Mum
