LIZ'S ROOTS:

My paternal family roots in Scotland are in Kilmarnock & Tarbolton, Ayrshire;  Rothesay, Isle of Bute & Glasgow, Lanark AND in the Irish counties of Fermanagh, Tyrone, Kilkenny, Down, Cork and Louth.     Also Yeovil in Somerset & London in Middlesex, England.

My maternal family roots in England are in Dent, Garsdale, Swaledale, Barnoldswick, Middleham, Wensley, Slaidburn, Gisburn Forest, Long Preston and other areas in Yorkshire & Lancashire AND in Chumleigh, Zeal Monachorum, Okehampton, Bow,  Chawleigh, Coldridge in Devonshire.

Both sides emigrated to New Zealand between 1840 - 1910, settling between Wellington, Wanganui, Rahotu, New Plymouth, and later, Hamilton and Auckland.

Family emigrated to New Zealand from 1871 and settled in Mauriceville in the Wairarapa - in the lower north island of New Zealand. From that time onwards the Patronymic surname of "Larsen" was retained.
