Whose Job Is It? This is a story about four people named Everbody, Somebody, Anybody and Nobody. There was an important job that had to be done and everbody was asked to do it. Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it. Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it. Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job. Everybody thought anybody could do it but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it. It ended up that Everbody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

Epictetus was born a Roman slave around 55 A.D. He became a famous philosopher, and said: "Happiness and freedom begin with a clear understanding of one principle: Some things are within our control, and some things are not. It is only after you have faced up to this fundamental rule and learned to distinguish between what you can and can't control that inner tranquility and outer effectiveness become possible... Every Day in the morning when the sun comes up, I get out of bed.... and I get out of bed....and I get out of bed....

Welcome to my Home Page. That's life. Always so much to do. Sitting here getting all square eyed as time races by.

Jacqueline, my better half and I live near Mildura, Victoria close to the Murry River. The flavour here is outdoors, there's plenty to drag one away from the PC and into 'one brilliant day after another'. Soon the night fire will be raging and Jack frost will be setting the morning pace.

Citrus Orhards and Grape Vinyards are scattered everywhere along the Murry. They,ve replaced a harsh wirey desert They have been our primary sourse of income, but the growing trend has been towards wages Vs. 'the cost of living' and less and less in the way of itinerant work. Ye 'old machine has begun to have it's day.

That's what brought me here in time. Working hard had lost it's attraction, an urge to find a better way of disguising the wrinkles. You spend twenty years stuffing around one day it all comes to make sense. In any case, Aussie Phones dumped itself onto my lap. I hit the ground running and the rest and the rest is history. Jackie is always out back tilling up a fresh flowerbeds. When the joint is alive in colour four house cats and their feral mates keep things lively. The local fauna have a very serious existance indeed. Mobs of roos hanging out along the river all alert when we wander thru their turf. This is the great outdoors

The water in the river provides an excellent sourse of salt. Most activities occur above the surface. We need a good forty day flood. We overcome all that and crank up the odd barbecue, even getting fillet the the odd Perch or Cod. This is why we live where we live.

At home, plonked inside with my toys. A guitar or two are scattered round and the workshop sporting a Kawasaki KZ750, doubles as my office. A good reason why I need to keep working. Natural medicine and the study of alternative cures is pre-occupation which I dedicate much of my spare time. Doctor Lance, at your service. It pays to know what's going on. Be warned!
