Mini Knockout Comp. Begins

As Saxon desperatly searches for 2 new teams,C grade becomes increasingly rowdy, and to overcome this a mini comp has been started with the winners, winning two STX balls. We started off playing the Allsorts/Canopeners..who are now known as the Robots. The first half started pretty much even,as both teams tried to find their footing, and when Jay jumped on during a restart deep in the Robots half, he managed to score.Midway through the 1st half Alex Scored after a great pass from Steven to make it 2nil. The 2nd half started as an arm wrestle, and after a fundalmental mistake, the Robots were on the board! Not long after Steven was able to snatch a goal, and also set another one up for Anthony. The score was 4-1 and remained that way till the end. This means we play Ice Bergs next week, and the winner out of that goes to the mini-grand final.

NEW SEASON ABOUT TO BEGIN

Hello all, and welcome back for a new season of Broomball. For the last three weeks C Grade have been playing trials, in the hope of finding 3 new teams. The reason we need 3 new teams is so Saxon can add a D Divison. On the other hand A and B grade started their competion 2 weeks ago, and its been great fun to play again!:)

Last season saw the 69ers finish 6th from 8th...hopefully this year we can at least make the finals.Im also very excited about this season because of a few new recruits.Anthony Courtney,Alex Blair, and Tim. Plus some old faces in Dale,Steven,Karren,Anne,Ian and myself. In the trials we have yet to have a goal scored against us...and have shown great teamwork in quite a number of a goals... Hopefully the season stats soon...Catch ya then! :)

We came one game shy of reaching the Grand Finals last year, and i think this year is 'our' year to go all the way!, but if not we play for fun and i and on behalf of my team wish every team the very best! Cheers!
