Rhys Filbee's Track

This track is the is the smallest and tighest track in the HMCC club. It was built last year by Rhys in a spare room of his house. It is based on Scalex dimensions with only 3inch (76mm) lane spacings. the longest straight is 6ft(1800mm)and the lap lenght is about 57 ft( 14.4mtrs). the surface is flat gray acrylic paint and the tape is resessed so that the the tape is level with the surface. Power is from a wet cell battery with trickle charger.

The forest makes driving very interesting and does cause some problems with marshalling as does the limited accsess around the track.But now that everyone has become familiar with the track the drivers drive to stay in the slot. Deslotting usually costs most of a lap.
