Endodontics is concerned with the biology, aetiology, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of diseases and injuries of the dental pulp and associated periradicular tissue ,in addition to curing toothache and saving injured teeth. The Discipline of Endodontics contributes to the following activities at the School of Dentistry. 1. Academic activities to both dental undergraduates and postgraduates, including lectures, seminars, and tutorials sessions. 2. Research activities involved with dental undergraduates, postgraduates, and faculty staff members, of which the details are explained in the “Research & Publication” section. 3. Clinical activities in collaboration with the Oral Health Centre of Western Australia, including endodontic services to public dental patients through the Undergraduate Clinic, Specialist Endodontic services to the public through the Postgraduate Clinic and via our staff Endodontists. 4. Laboratory activities designed for pre-clinical training of undergraduate as well as postgraduate students and Continuing Education courses for general dentists 5. Community activities provided to dentists, professional associations and community groups, which include Continuing Education courses, advice related to patient management, interstate and international lectures, community lectures related to dental health and trauma.. |
