The cemetery as it looked like in 1971.
The graves completely overgrown, the crosses have long gone and no
monument.
On 15 August 2001 at The National Memorial Arboretum, a monument to honour the POWs who gave their life working on the Pakan Baroe railway was unveiled by survivors of the railway. (see pictures below)
The National Memorial Arboretum is located at Alrewas, near Lichfield, Staffordshire in England.
