Why follow an Elder Pathway?

Aboriginal Australians and American Indians are firm in the belief that their ancestral spirituality is fundamental to their identity and who they are as people. This is a belief of all peoples who still follow a Tribal Spirituality and Ethos.

Europeans had this tribal spirituality and Dream Time untimely ripped from them over a thousand years ago. As time went on, Europeans were convinced that what was once their spiritual identity were quaint little stories, fairy tales and fables. In the 20th Century, in attempt to connect with that ancestral spirituality a polyglot of Neo-Pagan belief systems were invented. But along side of them were those who sought to recreate the spirituality of their ancestors and their tribal ways. Some of these attempts were misguided romanticism, but there were some - mainly toward the latter part of the 20th century who through, scholarship and personal gnosis, managed to recreate the spirituality of their European Ancestors. This recreation has enabled once more a spiritual identity and oneness. Once more the Gods and Goddesses of our ancestors are being honoured in a manner truly becoming. The gods and goddesses of our folk are calling those who would be true to them and bidding them take their place among them. They are bidding them to form hearths and kindreds and to partake of the wisdom handed down through the ages despite the best efforts of the spiritual imperialists.

They are calling Tru folk to their Halls and hearths. They are calling us to be at peace with each other but to fight to preserve the wisdom and teaching of the old ways. Indeed, they are calling us to live by that wisdom and teaching, and learn from our ancestors. Our future depends on not repeating the mistakes of our ancestors. Our future means standing together as tribe. Our future means supporting all who follow a tribal spirituality, yet standing firm against those who say that THEIRS is the only way.

Join with us in Tribe and in seeking the ways of those who have gone long before. They are calling us to bring the faith, knowledge and wisdom of our ancestors into a world gone mad, with self greed, anger and hatred.
