Yule/Mid-Winter 2006

Ostara/Spring Equinox is one of the "Great Rites" of the year representing the new life of spring, the warmth of Sunna's rays bringing forth new life from the cold earth.

 

“Hail Day! Hail the Sons of Day! Hail Night and the Daughter of Night! Gaze on us with gracious eyes, Award us victory, we who wait. Hail the Gods! Hail the Goddesses! Hail Earth who gives to all! Wisdom and fair speech give to us And healing hands while we live.”

 

A celebration of the traditional European Equinox and Ostara will be conducted at

Wood Henge

in Bridgewater on 23 Sep 2006 commencing at 4 PM PLEASE NOTE TIME

 it will consist of Social Time, A Ritual, and a shared meal.

Meal: Please bring meat for a BBQ and a salad or sweet for desert as a contribution to the community meal. Breads, condiments, and nibbles are also appreciated.

Drinks: BYO Drinks - relying on others to supply drinks is rude!, Alcohol permitted!

Children: Children are welcome but are the responsibility of the parent in regards to care and control.

 Dress: Street or Ritual dress and tools are permitted as a matter of personal preference.

Cost: A donation towards the work at Wood Henge and the costs of the event is appreciated but not compulsory.

 Attendance is only by prior arrangement and RSVP is essential.
