The Publicity officer is responsible for the publication of the quarterly newsletter and the up-keep of the online website.
- Newsletter:1st Caringbah has a proud and rich tradition of publishing the events and activities of the Group in a quarterly newsletter - one of only a number in the local area which put a newsletter together on a regular basis.
In 2006, 1st Caringbah renamed its newsletter 'The Half Hitch' which was suggested by Jared in Scouts. For his troubles, he was rewarded with a $50 Snowgum voucher and a colour copy of the new-look newsletter. The latest edition is available by clicking here
- Group Website:The Group Website is run on a voluntary basis by the Publicity Officer. The website serves to provide the members of 1st Caringbah with the most up-to-date information about section, group and regional activities. Each term, programs for each section as well as other activites are uploaded for easy download from the site for information for members of the Group
Privacy is an important issue when it comes to the internet, as this site is visable from anyone, anywhere in the world with an internet connection. More information about safety features of this site are found here.
- Contributing to these publications:You can contribute anything related to Scouts to either the newsletter or website. The newsletter has deadlines for each term which are the following for 2006:
Term 2 - Friday 26th June Term 3 - Friday 22nd September Term 4 - Friday 1st December Material for the website can be submitted at anytime.
