Eastern Districts Pool League (www.edpl.com.au)

The Eastern Districts Pool League was formed in July 1973 by foundation members, Bruno Kucko, Neil Williams and Lance Sheen – all from the Doncaster Inn Social Club. The first meeting was held at the Doncaster Inn Hotel in Doncaster on the 24th day of September 1973 at which a number of hotels from the Eastern suburbs were represented.

The idea was put forward to form a “Body of Control” in running an eight ball competition between such hotels.
This was duly done and therefore formed and started running what is known as the Eastern Districts Pool League, with all duly elected hotels and proposed ideas.”
