Division Report
After the first week’s baptism of fire, it was off to the
Bayswater Hotel for our second round match.
During the past week we had 2 more players join the
team. Brendan, who
played a few games last year, and Jason, the brother of Craig,
our illustrious president.
We knew the games would not be easy, as this was a team
which had played in the previous years grand final.

Things did not go our way but there were a few shining
lights which we can take great heart in.
Tammy Bryson, in her 3rd year of EDPL won 2 of her 3
frames, her best result in singles.
A new doubles combination in Lauren and Kate may have been
unearthed as they also won 2 of their 3 frames.
Well done girls! The
night ended with a 29 – 7
loss, but mention must be made of our captain’s unique ways.
Michael was undecided about how to go about his next shot and
so called Justin in. When
asked what he thought would be the best way to go about the ‘out’,
Justin was heard to say, “Follow your heart.”

Division Report
The second week of a new EDPL season had arrived, and
our opponents were the Bayswater Hotel.
Unlike the previous week, we managed a steadier start.
There were a few of us who seemed to be hitting the ball quite
well so this was looking like the night we may have our first win.
After the first ¼, the games were locked at 6 apiece, and
after the second ¼, we had fallen behind by 2 games.
Our players stepped up in the third though, leveling the match
with only 12 frames to play. Joe
Saldaneri was a standout on the night, winning all 4 games he played
and really putting us in contention with his solid contribution, along
with Daniel Eaton and Craig Zammit who both nailed 3 frames each.
But unfortunately, even with a strong base to build on, the
Bayswater proved to be a more experienced team.
The final result was a 22 – 26 loss, but we walked away with
our heads held high and a new found hunger for victory.
A special mention to Craig Chenco is also in order.
Even though he may have only won 1 frame, it was in fine style,
an eight ball pot out of the break!
Well done Chenco!
