There are numerous trophies that can be won by swimmer's during the season. The trophies are perpetual trophies that are held by the winner until the completion of the next swimming season. In summary these trophies are;

These are awarded to the winner of each Championship

A number of trophies are awarded to members who accumulate the most handicap points during the season in each of the trophy categories. The accumulated points are shown separately for freestyle sprints, Form Strokes (Breastroke, Butterfly and Backstroke) and the long-distance races.

A number of trophies for specific events are run on a handicap basis during the course of the season. All members who have swum the relevant stroke and distance may compete for these trophies.

In these specific handicap trophy events the Club applies "breaking times" depending on the distance being swum. Where a swimmer improves their time by more than the permitted breaking time, then they are automatically disqualified from that trophy event. The purpose of this is to encourage all swimmers to always swim their best and not to swim with unrealistic handicaps when they swim in the trophy races. The breaking times are as follows;

Distance Time
50 metres 2 seconds
100 metres 4 seconds
200 metres 6 seconds
400 metres 10 seconds

Even though a swimmer may be disqualified from a specific trophy, they will still earn normal points score points from that event.
