Charles CROSS and Rose Hannah FLOOD (FLUD)
were convicts who arrived in Port Jackson, Sydney on the Neptune on 28 June 1790. Charles and Rose married on 21 Nov 1790 at Rose Hill, Parramatta, Sydney, NSW, Jesse Mason & William Parish were witnesses. Charles and Rose can now be found, buried at St Johns CofE Cemetery at Wilberforce, NSW, Australia. There are many thousands of their descendants, many of whom are avid genealogists, they meet via a rootsweb mailing list, have a quarterly snail mail newsletter and hold regular reunions.
Having successfully launched the book "Cross Country Family Register" in November 2003 (as a book and CD) at the Hawkesbury Homecoming, members of the
Cross-Flood Family Association have worked on publishing books focussing on each the various children of Charles and Rose. These were released in June 2005. As far as we currently know, Charles
and Rose had 6 children whose spouses and grandchildren were connected to many well known Hawkesbury
families:
