PREM 1's DO THE DOUBLE

Blue Mountains Premier League First Grade soccer side have had the most successful season in the Club’s history.

After the regular home and away season, Blue Mountains finished a record 10 points clear of their nearest rival, winning 17 out of 22 games, and scoring the most goals in the First Grade competition.

Blue Mountains also defended their Nepean Cup title this year. Defeating 4 first grade sides along the way, Blue Mountains came up against a very determined St Mary’s Band Club side in the final. In a hard fought match the class of the Blue Mountains side came to the fore, and they ran out comprehensive winners 3-0 to ensure that the trophy remains in the club for another 12 months.

The side made it the semi finals of the State-wide Champion of Champions Competition, where they lost to Padstow in a hard fought match 1-2. Congratulations to all the players and coaching staff on an outstanding achievement.

The side would like to thank Tim Briggs, Chris Bourne and the staff of the Lapstone Hotel for their sponsorship and support throughout the season.
