GEORGE ALBERT MAHANA LIND MENU

Of GEORGE ALBERT MAHANA LIND (his name thus appears on the mineral lease No. 15) there is little to record. He joined with James Poole in the pegging of the lease on September 8, 1883, and lease number 16 thirteen days later.

Employed as the Mount Gipps station book keeper and storekeeper, he sold his one seventh interest in equal proportions to Rasp and McCulloch at a considerable loss early in 1884, and is believed to have departed for Melbourne to join the staff of a banking Organization.
