  • stories about families residing in the Sutherland Shire around the time of the formation of the Sutherland Shire Council in 1906
  • the only collection of Sutherland Shire families ever published
  • many of the families came from the St George area to the Sutherland Shire
  • many of the persons mentioned still have descendants living in the Shire
  • the stories were contributed by members of the Botany Bay Family History Society
