Founders Day weekend 2007
Celebrating Baden-Powell's 150th birthday
anniversary with a Group camp at Bonnie Vale.
23-25 Feb 2007
The group camp site at Bonnie Vale was an excellent beach-side
camp for our Group to celebrate the 150th birthday anniversary of the founder of
Scouting, Robert Baden-Powell. The Scouts camped from Friday night, the Cubs
arrived Sat morning and the Joeys visited on Sunday.
A catapult battle was enjoyed by the young and the young-at-heart.

The Scouts built a raft and took the Cubs for a ride while
others enjoyed playing in the safe, shallow river.

Group Leader 'Angus' kicked-off the party with an explanation of BP's
150th birthday anniversary; then the Joeys, Cubs and Scouts got stuck into
the party food.

Thanks to the Joey
Mod, Cub Pack and Scout Troop for joining in to help make
our Group camp lots of fun to celebrate BP's 150th birthday anniversary. You can
probably tell from the Scouts faces below that they did not enjoy the chocolate cake.
