1970 CAN AM and Sports Cars
1:24 PLAFIT 13 D

- Any 1:24 true to scale vacuum formed Lexan or Pet Body representing Can-Am Cars up to 1970 as well as Sports Cars
and Sports Prototype Cars to 1970 (see photo page for examples)
- Cut out and mounting of the body has to reflect the actual 1.1 cars.
- The presentation of body (paint design, decals and additional details parts) has to be as realistic as possible to a 1.1 car of the time.
- Only two piece driver interior (vacuum formed with sperate drivers head) to be used. Interior has to cover all windows and open cockpit.
No chassis parts are allowed to be visible.
- Plafit Excel 1300U
- Chassis set-up has to be done only within its design limits and only with the original accessories IE changing spring tension
or the amount of chassis/body movement.
- All original mounting points and basic configuration must be retained.
- No chassis modifications other then within its design limits.
- No soldering allowed, to hold motor into position. Only motor screws are to be used.
- Body type may be used to hold lead wires in place.
- Plafit excel weights plate sets 1314 may be used.
- Other additional weight may be used.
- Plafit excel fine screw sets 1313 may be used instead of standard screws.
- 3mm solid only
- Scale fronts only, No O-Ring type permitted, Minimum diameter is 23mm.
- Minimum tire width is 8mm.
- Scale only with standard Plafit 17mm rear tires 1342U minimum diameter is 25mm.
- Maximum width is 13.5mm.
- 15mm wheel inserts have to be used on all wheels.
- 3mm solid axle only.
- Oilite bushings or ball race bearings, must be glued in place.
- Any plastic 50 pitch spur gears for 3mm axles must be used.
- 38 tooth gears only.
- Any 50 pitch plastic or brass pinions
- 10 and 12 tooth only must be used.
- Only 13D Plafit Fox II Motors.
- Sealed motors are not to be opened or modified in any way.
