Casting
The club has an active competition casting program which all members can participate in. There are participation awards, encouragement awards and prizes for place-getters, as well as the winners.
The competitions are lots of fun and can really improve your fly casting skills. Don’t feel inhibited if you aren’t an expert; plenty of the others aren’t either and the atmosphere is informal. If you indicate that you would like advice and tuition, the more experienced casters are happy to help.
Here is the magnificent trophy for the Club Casting Championship:
The happy winner in 2002 was Stan Stamatis, pictured below with Ross Rowe (left) of Pro Angler and former ACT FF President, Rod Newnham (right):

In 2007, the Club Competition will include a Ladies’ Section ; we need plenty of entrants.
